Is Twitter Worth My Time?
filed in Advertising, SurfYourName on Mar.23, 2009
Ever since I was a young child, I have always been fascinated with technology. I always enjoyed the newest gadget or having the fastest computer possible. But what is the deal with Twitter? People on CNN are Twittering, kids in Junior High School are Twittering, and even the newly elected President of the United States, Barrack Obama is Twittering. Is this a great tool or just another social networking fad?
I have advised many of the SurfYourName.com clients to use Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, and many other social networking sites to help get their business affordable publicity. But is Twitter.com a ship passing in the night or is it here to stay? I have to admit, I have personally not used Twitter yet. I have not signed up for an account and am really not sure I want to at this point!
I have many things I enjoy doing on a daily basis and writing these blogs are one of them. I do have a Facebook and MySpace account and have been able to re-connect with some old friends I hadn’t heard from in 10+ years. So what are the benefits of Twitter? Is Twitter going to be able to provide me with more benefits then my current social networking sites I use?
I would love to hear from you. I have many subscribers to my blogs and I get a few emails each time I publish a new one. Its great to get these emails, it lets me know someone is out there reading!!! Below this blog is a place for you to leave comments. Do me a favor, leave a comment and let me know if you use Twitter.com and what you think of it as a social networking tool. Maybe I should start recommending to my clients to use Twitter as well as other social networking sites! Thanks in advance for your help and opinions. I look forward to seeing what everyone has to say!

Many people are feeling the same exact way. With using email, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, LinedIn, and other social networking websites…who can find time to do anything else! Many are weighing the website’s against each other and choosing the one or two that connects them with the most people and using the sites with the best options! Keep the comments coming!
